Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor to Lead Veloce Racing into FIA Extreme H World Cup

Veloce Racing has confirmed that Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor will reunite with the team for the 2026 FIA Extreme H World Cup, as the event continues to pioneer a new era of hydrogen-powered off-road racing.

One of the standout driver line-ups in Extreme H’s predecessor, Extreme E, Hansen and Taylor entered the first-ever FIA Extreme H World Cup last year with Jameel Motorsport and came away as the inaugural winners.

Veloce will now draw on that winning expertise of Hansen and Taylor, as well as the strong relationship the pair developed with the team across two Extreme E campaigns.

Together with Hansen and Taylor, Veloce established itself as one of Extreme E’s leading teams with five X Prix victories and nine podiums overall. The British squad ended the championship with a dominant final campaign, winning half of the season’s races and taking consecutive victories at the Hydro X Prix in Scotland to top the standings.

Now, with Extreme H leading the way in hydrogen-powered motorsport, Hansen and Taylor will draw on their existing chemistry and experience to support Veloce’s Extreme H efforts.

One of rallycross’ most accomplished drivers, Hansen became the youngest FIA European Rallycross Champion in 2016, winning four of five races and earning the FIA Rookie of the Year award. The Swede has since established himself as a leading FIA World Rallycross competitor, with four wins, 27 podiums and multiple championship top three finishes, alongside victory in the 2019 Nitro World Games.

Growing up in a motorsport family, Taylor excelled in Australian rallying before moving to Europe, where she became the first woman to score a Junior WRC podium with third at Rally Finland in 2014. Returning to Australia, Taylor claimed the Australian Rally Championship title with Subaru in 2016 before making the switch to Extreme E, winning the inaugural season with Rosberg X Racing in 2021 and cementing her status as one of off-road racing’s leading drivers.

For Taylor, the 2026 season will also mark a significant personal milestone. Following the recent birth of her baby, the Australian will be returning to competitive racing just a few months later.

Being on the start line alongside Molly will already feel like a win with what she has put in to be there. Starting this new chapter together, supporting each other both as team-mates and as parents, with Veloce on our side, makes this year’s FIA Extreme H World Cup particularly special. I can’t wait to be in Qiddiya City to start the journey of our title defense.”

Molly Taylor said: "Kevin and I have developed a fantastic partnership, and winning the FIA Extreme H World Cup together last year has only given us even more confidence in what we can achieve. It feels very special to be returning to Veloce and bringing that experience with us. This time we’re also embarking on a very different journey together having just welcomed my first child and Kevin having recently become a dad too. Coming back as a new mum will make this next chapter incredibly special, and undoubtedly challenging, but when I get behind the wheel, my ambitions won’t have changed. I want to get back to my best, compete with no limitations and help the team fight at the front from the very beginning. I maintained my training throughout my pregnancy with the goal of racing in Qiddiya City at the end of October and am extremely grateful to have had so much support throughout this journey. I’m incredibly motivated for the challenge ahead."

Veloce Racing will make its Extreme H debut at Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia (October 29–31) as the FIA Extreme H World Cup takes on its second hydrogen-powered competition.

With a proven driver pairing, an established team, and a wealth of knowledge from the previous generation of sustainable off-road racing, Veloce will be targeting a strong start as it looks to establish itself among the leading contenders of Extreme H.
